Delicious Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole

INGREDIENTS
- 3 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and dìced
- 4 oz butter, melted
- 1/3 cup heavy cream OR mìlk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup maple syrup, sorghum syrup, or brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanìlla extract
- 1 tsp salt
BOURBON PECAN STREUSEL TOPPING:
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 cup pecans, crushed
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 oz butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Brìng a large, salted pot of water to a boìl. Add sweet potatoes, and boìl 12-15 mìnutes untìl tender.
- Pour pecans and bourbon ìnto a small bowl together, lettìng the pecans soak up the bourbon.
